Built on Kiana's Experience: How Moona's Place Prepared to Grow
How Kiana Perkins and ArgentAI clarified Moona's Place's story, strengthened operations, and rebuilt its website for measured growth.

The short version
Kiana Perkins already knew her business. She knew the pets, the people who trusted her with them, the communities she served, and the standard of care she wanted Moona's Place to represent.
What she needed before meeting investors was not someone to invent the business for her. She needed help turning years of founder knowledge into a clear story, stronger operating systems, and a digital presence that customers, future team members, and investors could understand.
Kiana supplied the experience, judgment, relationships, and vision. ArgentAI helped organize the evidence, test assumptions, document the operating model, and rebuild the website around the business she had created. The refreshed site launched in September 2026. The work is continuing. In Phase 2, Kiana plans to move Moona's Place forward with stronger local visibility, lead tracking, and a carefully governed AI concierge built around her approved knowledge and service standards.
A business built around care
Moona's Place is a founder-led pet-care business serving 15 communities in Chicago's south suburbs. It provides dog walking, pet sitting, cat care, and pet taxi services, along with a small boutique.
The business is named after Moona, Kiana's dog and the inspiration behind the brand. Moona has since passed away, but her story remains at the heart of the care Moona's Place provides to every pet and family it serves. For Kiana, the name represents a standard of care and a legacy she wants to carry forward.
The challenge: making the outside match the business
As Kiana prepared for investor conversations, the public presentation of Moona's Place had not kept pace with the business itself. The website still leaned toward an online-pet-store identity, while the company's real strength was a personal, service-led care business built on trust.
Much of the operating knowledge also lived with Kiana: how she evaluates a pet's needs, what customers value, which communities she serves, and how she wants the company to grow. That is common in founder-led businesses. The knowledge is real, but it becomes difficult for investors, future caregivers, or new customers to evaluate when it is not documented.
Together, Kiana and ArgentAI identified five priorities:
- Clarify the public story so the website reflects a pet-care service business.
- Give Kiana's knowledge a durable, reusable home.
- Separate verified facts, founder-supplied information, assumptions, and future goals.
- Strengthen booking, inquiry, pricing, and calendar controls before growth.
- Sequence new services, products, facilities, and technology instead of pursuing everything at once.
What we built together
1. A clearer evidence-backed investor story
We began with Kiana's knowledge and the records the business already had. From there, we created an evidence register that distinguishes verified facts, founder-supplied information, assumptions, and items still needing proof. We also audited the financial workbook, flagged formula issues, and separated numbers ready for discussion from those still requiring validation.
The goal was not to replace Kiana's story. It was to help her present it with confidence while making clear where the evidence was strong, where it was still developing, and what should not yet be claimed.
2. Systems that can carry Kiana's standards forward
Kiana's judgment is central to how Moona's Place operates. We helped translate that judgment into working materials that can support future caregivers and measured growth: draft training and caregiver guidance, senior- and special-care procedures, service and bundle rules, and options for expanding the care team.
The result is a practical foundation for keeping Kiana's standards clear and consistent as the business grows.
We also gave Kiana direct control over service pricing and the website's notification banner in Shopify, so she can make routine updates and share timely or urgent information with site visitors without waiting on a developer.
3. A more focused offer
Using Kiana's confirmed service area and priorities, we organized the business around 15 south-suburban communities and made the service lines easier to understand. Cat Care and Pet Taxi received clearer customer journeys, including intake for households with multiple pets.
New ideas were staged deliberately. Existing boutique inventory was curated before adding products. The long-term facility concept was presented as a vision and interest list, not as a funded or completed promise. Competitive research supported Kiana's founder-led, personal positioning rather than pushing the business into a price race with a franchise.

4. A website that sounds like Moona's Place
The revised story puts Kiana, Moona's legacy, and the care relationship at the center. Today's services are separated from tomorrow's vision so customers can tell what is available now and what is still being explored.
Only after the business story, evidence, and operating priorities were clearer did we rebuild the storefront. The new site creates a direct path to schedule a meet-and-greet, works across desktop, tablet, and mobile, and gives future changes a stronger safety net through an automated production release suite. A post-launch production verification passed 310 checks.
Where Moona's Place is now
Kiana brought the Moona's Place story and supporting material to an investor summit in September 2026. The conversation led to a follow-up investor meeting.
The business now has a clearer public identity, a more organized evidence base, stronger operating tools, owner-controlled pricing, and a website that better reflects the company Kiana built. These foundations make future growth easier to evaluate without taking control away from the founder.
What comes next
The next phase is intentionally measured:
- Local and answer-engine visibility: Improve technical SEO, local business information, and useful content so nearby pet owners can find accurate answers.
- Lead tracking: Connect inquiries to their sources so Kiana can see what is working.
- Moona's Concierge: Explore an AI assistant based only on a Kiana-approved knowledge base, with clear human escalation and an off switch.
The order matters. Technology should extend Kiana's knowledge and standards, not speak over them. AI comes after the facts, processes, and approval boundaries are in place.
In Kiana's words

“ArgentAI has truly been a godsend to my small business. Prior to working with ArgentAI my business' website, back office, systems, and marketing strategy were inconsistent and not streamlined. They effectively communicated what needed to be done and guided me through every step. With their assistance my business now has the proper capacity and processes in place to scale.”
